LOWER DANUBE. Geto-Dacians. 1st century BC. Denarius (Silver, 20 mm, 3.47 g, 12 h), possibly imitating a Roman Republican denarius of Gargilius, Ogulnius and Vergilius (86 BC). Wreathed head of Apollo to right; below, thunderbolt. Rev. Jupiter in galloping quadriga to left, hurling thunderbolt in his left hand and holding reins in his right. Crawford 350A/1 (for possible prototype). Somewhat rough, otherwise, about very fine.
